Groups at The Journey Tower Grove are formed around three common realities:
- Everyone matters - we never lock eyes with anyone not made in the image of God
- Everyone needs a sense of belonging - we were made for community, and loneliness stinks
- Everyone needs a guide - a director, someone to help them in their spiritual journey and life
These realities are where our focus on Groups begins. At JTG, we offer a diverse array of groups designed to foster community, spiritual growth, and service. These groups are categorized into different types, and the primary type is Community Groups.

We believe that discipleship is about embracing Jesus' teachings and applying them to everyday life. Our Community Groups (CG) are the cornerstone of this journey, providing a supportive environment for growth and learning.
CGs can convene in various settings, such as homes, local parks, community centers, coffee shops, or JTG facilities. During their gatherings, members typically study the Bible, discuss sermon review questions or explore books approved by the elders, fostering a deeper understanding and connection to their faith.
We have 3-4 new groups launching in the fall of 2024 and are committed to opening more groups in the weeks following. Join a CG and find the encouragement and support you need for your discipleship journey.

JTG also offers Life Stage (LS) Groups—diverse groups designed to foster community, spiritual growth, and service. These groups are categorized into different types. LS Groups support our youngest kids through the oldest adults. Our Life Stage groups are designed to provide tailored support, guidance, and fellowship for individuals navigating these distinct phases.
LS Groups aim to equip and serve members while walking them through their life stages. These groups offer a sense of community and understanding, ensuring no one faces their challenges alone.

Whether you are facing a challenging life event or need support through a difficult time, Care Groups are here to help you navigate through with empathy and understanding.

Coming in 2025, Life Transformation (LT) Groups are intimate gatherings of 2-3 individuals of the same sex who meet regularly to foster spiritual growth and accountability. These groups delve deeply into scripture, discussing substantial portions each member reads between meetings.
LT groups are composed of 2-3 people and meet for 6-8 weeks.

In addition to reviewing scripture, members address agreed-upon accountability questions, providing support and encouragement in their spiritual journeys. Each session concludes with heartfelt prayers for friends who have yet to know Jesus, reinforcing the group's spiritual transformation and outreach mission.
We are excited to bring these groups to our church in 2025. If you share our excitement, please join the waitlist.
